Domaine des Costes Gallines

We had this vineyard as our starter for the day but unfortunately was met with little success. From the D66 we turned at the sign mounted on a lovely old stone wall and drove up what must have been a pleasant entrance at one time. Now, however, the vineyard was full of weeds and wildflowers up to a group of buildings which were surrounded by industrial equipment but without any sign of a welcome or a cave. 

The absence of anyone to ask led us to turning around in the track in front of a couple of old caravans and returning to our tour. It was a shame to see such an estate in the state of disrepair and unfortunately, we are none the wise as to what has become of the Domaine des Costes Gallines.

No tastings but this vineyard apparently produces the … at €7.40/bottle

Destination, drop-in or drive-by? Unless there’s a sudden refurb, drive-by, there are plenty of other estates in the area.
